Community InvolvementDr. McMinn served as President of the Searcy Kiwanis Club. The year he was president, Searcy Kiwanis Club was selected as Civic Club of the Year. Governor Bill Clinton presented the award.
He has served as President of the Whitewood Shrine Club and was an aide to the Potentate of Scimitar Shrine Temple.
Dr. McMinn has served as an alderman on the Searcy City Council. He is a member of First Baptist Church in Searcy, AR. He has served his church as a teacher and deacon. He participated in two mission trips to Guatemala. Several hundred received free eye care on each mission trip.
Special Olympics are held at Harding University in Searcy. Dr. McMinn assists in eye exams for the participants.
